In an announcement today plans have been revealled for a state-of-the-art tourist attraction based around the Titanic which could have the potential to bring hundreds of thousands of visitors to Southampton City every year. The waterfront based Ocean Liner Experience, which will host a display of items from the doomed liner Titanic, is work is set to begin within the next three months. It has been estimated the attraction will be seen by up to 300,000 people annually.

Entitled “Titanic Honour and Glory”, the collection has so far been seen by more than two million people at venues all over the country and has been voted one of the UK’s top five exhibitions.
