Lymington Show A Summer Hit

Record numbers turned out over the weekend to see a massive number of vintage and veteran cars at the Rotary Club of Lymington Summer Spectacular. Event organisers believed there was a record attendance of around 2,500 people at the 19th event of its kind. This year the Hampshire event also included a car boot sale as well as a dog show.

The event was free to enter, although all donations made on the day will be distributed between local charities. Vintage cars are described as those built after the First World War and veteran cars those built before the end of 1904.

President of the Rotary Club of Lymington Janet Durrant was quoted as saying: “It’s been a fantastic day, everyone seems happy and the weather has certainly helped us." She went on to say; “It’s a community event that the rotary club puts on each year as we endeavour to work in the community and for the community and the community is here today.”
