This weekend sees one of the greatest Hollywood villains descend on sleepy
Hampshire this weekend. Star Wars’ dark lord Darth Vader will be among many of the iconic sci-fi film characters at a toy fair in that is happening in Eastleigh. The man from inside the famous black-hooded suit in the original trilogy Dave Prowse will be meeting hoards of Star Wars fans at the toy fair. Also at the event will be the actor who plays bounty hunter Boba Fett and also Michael Henbury, from Eastleigh, who played an ewok character in one of the movies.
The die-hard fans will also get to see film props and collectibles used on the set of the cult George Lucas mega blockbuster. These include the original Yoda which speaks and has a working light sabre, robots R2D2 and C3PO, Hans Solo’s Millennium Falcon and fighter jets.
Other memorabilia to entice the sci-fi fanatics comes straight from the set of Star Trek and Doctor Who.
