The planned introduction of road tolls and dividing the park into three zones had also been scrapped. Local residents had protested strongly , saying it would restrict both how they lived and worked. The first draft of the plans were published last year and proposals included banning horse owners from putting up shelters for their animals and banning dogs from certain areas in a bid to protect wildlife.
Up to 200 people reportedly attended the meeting in Dibden where the Park Authority explain to residents about the changes to the plan. The revised plans are scheduled to be published and put out to consultation next month.
