Havant Literary Festival

More local events from in and around the Hampshire area from Dibben and Dibben as the Havant Literary Festival takes place between 25 September and 4 October 2009. Havant Literary Festival celebrates the 150th anniversary of the birth of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle with a superb programme of events dedicated to his life and work, including talks and an exhibition on loan from Portsmouth City Museum.

The ten days of the Festival will offer all the usual Festival fare –theatre, signings, children’s events, poetry, talks, street entertainment, art, school’s activities, exhibitions, workshops, walks, film, music, readings, a Book Fair, a Ghost Walk and a debate: ‘This House Believes the Book is Dead’!

The objective of Havant Literary Festival is to establish a celebration for the written and spoken word in the Borough of Havant.
