Art Contest Winner

More local news from in and around the South Hampshire area from Dibben and Dibben as the winner of an Alresford painting competition has been awarded her prize. Jane Swan has scooped the Eel House Painting competition and David Woods, who heads the building’s restoration team, attended the October meeting of the Alresford Art Society to announce the winner.

Art Society members were invited to paint the building in any medium and eight paintings in went on display in the Old Fire Station and at the Eel House over the Heritage Open days last month. The public was invited to vote on their favourite and Jane came first with her watercolour. A total of 273 visitors casting their votes.
